Breezeway raises $15M for property care and guest platform – PhocusWire

Boston-based hospitality technology company Breezeway has secured $15 million in funding to further develop its operations management tools and guest experience platform.
Catalyst Investors led the round, with participation from existing investor Schooner Capital, which led Breezeway’s $8 million Series A round in August 2020.
Founded in 2017, Breezeway helps vacation rental hosts and hospitality managers maintain quality, safety and cleanliness across their properties by automating tasks such as cleaning and preparation.
According to the company, Breezeway’s software and mobile apps have facilitated more than 18 million property service tasks and helped operators deliver more than 55 million nights booked at homes prepared to their standards.

“It’s challenging to deliver the type of detailed property preparation and service that guests have come to expect,” says Breezeway CEO Jeremy Gall.
“Hospitality managers and hosts are inundated with operational tasks, from scheduling work, coordinating services over multiple locations and unique properties, to monitoring guest needs, tracking preventative maintenance and compliance with hospitality standards. With the support of Catalyst, we will continue to invest in our platform to make it easier for hosts and managers to solve these operational complexities and exceed guest expectations.”
Says Grady Kidder of Catalyst Investors, who will be joining Breezeway’s board of directors: “With an increasing focus on quality, the hospitality manager who emphasizes service and the experience at the property will gain a competitive advantage.
“Breezeway is the market leader in property care software, and we look forward to working with Jeremy and his team to continue to expand their reach both internationally and to other hospitality verticals.”
Breezeway’s funding comes amid a flurry of recent activity in the hospitality technology space. Just this week, Barcelona-based Amenitiz acquired e-learning provider Ododo, Guestline acquired Newbridge Software and Germany-based Holidu closed a €100 million funding round.
Last month, Guesty acquired Spain-based vacation rental software company Kigo and Australian property management software company HiRUM Software Solutions, while in August, European travel tech startup Shackle announced $5.5 million in seed funding.
