Olympic silver medallist Colin Jackson is set to appear, as two St Albans leisure centres host an open day.
Westminster Lodge Leisure Centre and Batchwood Golf Course and Sports Centre will open their doors to the public on Saturday, January 7.

Another special guest, yet to be announced, will also be attending the event, which has been organised by Everyone Active and St Albans City and District Council.
Westminster Lodge’s open day will run from 10am until 5pm, and will see freestyle footballer Rebaz Mohamed showcase his talent.
Batchwood Golf Course and Sports Centre will host its open day from 9am until 6pm, with Colin Jackson available for pictures and autographs.
The centre will open its doors for the first time following a “major refurbishment”, on Wednesday, December 28.
Steve Cox, contract manager at Everyone Active, said: “We’re incredibly excited to invite the whole community down to Westminster Lodge Leisure Centre and Batchwood Golf Course and Sports Centre on Saturday, January 7.
“With the current cost of living crisis and January blues, it’s really important for us to give something back to the community.
“We thought what better way to do this than by hosting a day of free activities for everyone to enjoy.
“We’re pulling out all the stops to make this an unmissable event, from hosting a wide range of activities all for free, to having sporting heroes such as Colin Jackson come down to meet everyone and even take on some gym challenges for customers to try to beat – it’s set to be a fantastic day for all!”
Activities to take part in for free on the day include basketball, football, pickleball, soft play, group exercise classes, badminton, table tennis, tennis, a bouncy castle, a junior golf taster with a professional, junior golf sessions, a judo club demonstration, a junior tennis taster, and more.
It is advised that visitors book these activities two weeks prior to the open day, via the organisation’s website (www.everyoneactive.com).
