Two men were arrested and taken to hospital after a serious Basildon crash left a car facing the wrong way and badly damaged.
The crash in near the Festival Leisure Park in Cranes Farm Road reportedly shut the road for hours on Friday night.
Images from the scene showed a badly damaged car facing the wrong way with two police vehicles on the scene and debris covering the road.
Police say two men were arrested and taken to hospital for assessment.

An Essex Police spokesman said: “Two men have been arrested after a single-vehicle collision was reported to us near to Festival Leisure Park, in Basildon, shortly before 10.30pm last night, Friday 11 November. Officers arrived at the scene and, after a short search, arrested two men.
“One man was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop and drink driving while the other was arrested on suspicion of drug driving. Both men were taken to hospital to be assessed.”
