A 51-year-old man was taken to a local emergency room Wednesday night after the vehicle he was driving ended up on a concrete sound wall near the roundabout at the intersection of Leisure Town and Vanden roads in Vacaville.
Vacaville Police Lt. Frank Piro on Monday said the man, who was not identified, suffered life-threatening injuries when his car, by one account being driven at a high rate of speed north on Vanden, “possibly flipped over in the air” and ended up on the wall.
Piro said there was “no evidence yet” the man was impaired by alcohol or drugs at the time of the solo-vehicle crash.
