Feeling down about Levelling Up! – Alpha Newspaper Group – Coleraine Chronicle

QUESTIONS have been raised over East Londonderry’s exclusion from the latest round of Levelling-up funding.
Three projects in neighbouring County Antrim received more than £16m between them while two flagship schemes in Coleraine were ignored.
Mid Ulster’s £9m bid for new green space and recreational facilities in Maghera was also successful.
While the local council may be celebrating securing £8m for leisure facilities in Ballycastle, there’s significant disappointment that its much bigger Coleraine Leisure Centre rebuild failed to attract funding this time round….
